GIG volunteering team collaborated with VeryNile to clean the Nile River

In light of the celebration of World Rivers Day, our volunteering team collaborated with VeryNile to clean the Nile River and remove plastic waste from its waters, our participation in such day aims to raise awareness about the environment and water pollution. Our team also participated in a recycling workshop, where they converted waste into useful recycled products and attended an educational session to learn how to reuse discarded materials in a creative and sustainable way.

UN Women Training Program

We are thrilled to share that GIG- Egypt recently hosted a transformative 2-day training program for “Middle Management” in collaboration with UN Women and the Community Hub and It is worth noting that GIG-Egypt has been a signatory to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) since 2022. This initiative is a testament to our unwavering commitment to women empowerment and gender equality, which are an integral component of our broader ESG efforts. The purpose of this training is to equip the managers with the necessary skills and tools for successful gender-sensitive leadership, while allowing them to adopt effective communication strategies with the diverse pool of talent at GIG Insurance Egypt, in addition to helping them understand the different methodologies of building the capacity of employees while applying a gender lens. Through this training, we aim to present the tools and practices that promote equality and address the barriers and challenges to women’s access to equal job opportunities.
